Man faces charges following police chase spanning two counties

A man is facing charges following a police chase that spanned two counties.

The incident happened on Thursday morning around 12:58 a.m on State Route 72 in Union Township, Lebanon County. The chase continued through Fort Indiantown Gap and entered into Dauphin County.

Police say the car, driven by Donald Buckley Hauze, Jr. traveled west on State Route 443. The pursuit ended in the 3100 block of Fishing Creek Valley Road in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County, after Hauze lost control of his 1997 GMC Truck which struck and sheered a utility pole.

Police say the truck rolled over several times after striking the pole and came to rest on its roof.

Police say Hauze was trapped in the truck and had to be extricated by emergency crews. He was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
