Boy battling cancer asks for cards from police, fire departments for his birthday

PASCOAG, R.I. (WPRI) The mother of a six-year-old cancer patient is hoping her sons upcoming birthday will be a special one.

Pascoag resident Tyler Seddon will be turning seven on March 6. Unlike most boys his age, hes battling leukemia. Tyler had a brief victory over cancer, but a relapse temporarily put him back in the hospital. Hes currently resting at home.

Tylers mother says her son is fascinated with everything about policemen, firefighters, and first responders, so she set up a website to help make Tylers upcoming birthday one to remember. Rachel Seddon hopes first responders from all over the area will send birthday cards to her son.

Rachel emphasized just how important this day will be, both for her and Tyler. You never know. You have to make it special because you just dont know whats going to happen, she told WCVB-TV.
